My power/sleep button has been starting to sink lower and lower, and now it is at a point where I need to use the tip of my fingernail to wake the phone.
I do have insurance/TEP, but everything else on the phone is 100%, so would like to know if there is a DIY solution.
There are a couple other questions regarding this matter here but they were not answered.

If you have paid for insurance I would use it and not void any coverage by working on it. Once insurance has expired then is the time for diy. Good luck. Ralph

If your insurance has expired, then find a way to melt the button back in from the plastic where it was originally mounted. If that doesn't work, then you need to replace the top cover on this phone. This also applies if you mess it up beyond repair.
