unsupported version in my new 2015 Accord

My Ipod Model A1059 wont work in my new car, it says unsupported version. Can I update it or trash it.

Todd, this is most likely caused by the incompatibility of the dock connectors. The wiring of the dock connector has been changed so your 2015 Honda most likely does not recognize your iPod. Not a whole lot you can do unless your cars sound system has an aux in connection. This model iPod has probably one of the better sound chips and is a great player, don't trash it.

I was trying to connect an iPod shuffle but via usb said don't recognize and via aux don't do anything. Any suggestions of what apple equipment can I use to ?? Thank You !!!!

@kokecito that depends on your car stereo. I connect some of my older iPods with a 3.5mm cable from the headphone jack to the Aux input and it works on all of my 2nd and 3rd gen iPod
