Why my Mouse/Computer (Logitech) causes a delay when clicking on Commands

Not sure if it is the mouse or computer itself but the problem is as follows:

During operations of my computer, I get a delay (sometimes up to 30-45 seconds) when clicking or giving the computer a Command, e.g., going from one website to another or just simply clicking on different Programs, e.g. Excel to Word.

Also, once I am in a Program or simply putting in data on an Excel Spreadsheet or typing a letter, I get the same delay.

Need help with identifying what is causing this problem and how to fix it.

Try downloading and installing the current driver: http://support.logitech.com

Then go into System preferences, after a restart, and select it.
