How to delete the boot screen which displays to select the OS?

i have earlier installed windows 7 os on my system. It was a sample pack. After installing windows 7 , i got a Boot screen which asked to select the windows 7 or earlier version of windows. now i have uninstalled windows 7. Still i am getting the options selection boot screen. What should i do to avoid getting this screen and start windows normally?

Go to Start > Run, type in: msconfig

if run isn't there, start > in the search field type CMD and press enter, then type msconfig and press enter.

A window will eventually pop up with a few tabs, go to the Boot tab at the top.

You should see 2 operating systems in the list, highlight the one you don't want and press delete.
