Microphone not working after screen replacement

I did a screen replacement on this M8. When I tested all functions without the back casing on, all work perfectly. When I installed the back casing the microphone does not work. I remove the back and it works fine again . Replace the back and it stops working. Has me baffled a bit. Any ideas what going wrong here.
