We might be able to help you get the RAM slot working.

For logic board replacement, stay within the same model number. Looks like you can go with a 2.4 or 2.5 GHz processor board. A picture might help and repairing it would be much cheaper. Please tell us your current RAM configuration.

MacBookPro late 2011 originally come with 4 meg RAM,

Hnnix 2GB 1Rx8 PC3 – 10600S -9-10-B1

I buy 2 RAM 4 gig of KINGSTON .

KINGSTON 4GB PC3 – 12800 CL11 204 – Pin SODIMM

It work well for while.

lately I decide to replace my hard drive with a SSD and at the same time I buy 2 RAM 8 gig (crucial 16GB kit)

CRUCIAL 8GB DDR3L – 1600 SODIMM MAC

Currently my MacPro runs with 1 single barrette 8 gig crucial in Bank 1 (the lower one)

Thanks for you help
