dropped the mag adapter, it landed on the closed lid, but now the display screen has a hari-line crack running accross the middle of the display, it still works, but not sure if it will continue working with the crack, so may need to replace it in the near future. What is the name of the part I will need to get?

On the pre-Unibody Mac Pro pros you will need to replace just the LCD.

your exact model using a guide(you can order the part here or tear it down to see the part number on the back of the screen). Once you have the part number there are many online vendors who also supply replacement LCD screens.
