Can I fix my 160 if it needs a new charger/sych port?

It got wet & and said to connect to itunes to restore.

THEN someone tried to connect it to the computer with iphone cord and he got it stuck and ripped it out, taking some of the metal casing that surrounds the hookup with it. Now it won't "click" in and I can't even charge it. Do I need to get a new iPod? :(

Hi Kim

If the click wheel seemed to work before having the hookup damaged it appears to me as a logicboard-issue (since the hookup is fixed on the logic board).

The logic board can be replaced. Here is one:

I totally just did this, i replaced my logic board on my 160 for the one you linked and now my ipod doesnt work!!!!! dont do that
