Phone charges after dock replacement but wont recognize in any PC

yea so my friend wanted me to fix his dock and it charges but wont recognize in any computer/windows computer. what could be causing this? Defective Dock?

Kevin Romano, I'd definitely replace the dock once more since it could be a defective part.
