Charger port broken, will not charge w/insertion of charger cord.

Haven't had a problem with charging the phone till this afternoon. When I went to insert charger cable into to power port. It went in with some difficulty, but will not charge. I think there maybe a bent prong or broken one. How can I fix this myself?
