My phone shuts off on its own when not on a charger.

My i phone 3gs is only about 10mts old and it just powers off by itself. If it is on the charger it works ok. I dont know if the battery could be bad are could be out of place inside the phone.

Yep, the battery is probably bad. Has the phone ever had any kind of water damage? If not, take it to the Apple Store; they should be able to replace it for free, as it will be under warranty still.

My iPhone 3GS fell in some water, it wont turn on when I take it off of it's charger.
