Does it shut down as soon as you turn it on, or completely randomly? Does it shut down after you've been using it for a while for things like youtube videos or games? If the latter is the case, you could be having an overheating issue. Please edit your question to provide some more information and I'll try to give a more detailed response.

You might also want to check your AC Power Unit for tears or cable faultiness. But if I had to go on gut-instinct I would go with Taylor and also presume that the computer is overheating.
Maybe you can state key indicators such as:
- Recently upgraded my OS
- Video card has been acting up
- Fan is blowing at an extremely rapid rate
etc.

Both random and at the start. yesterday it shut down and did not turn on for 12-13 hours. When it did turn on it worked normally while plugged in. I purchased a battery from amazon should get it in 3-4 days. I tried to calibrate the battery didn't help. Unless I did it wrong??
