Took note for a swim, everything but fingers on touch screen works

Ok so im dumb and went in a pool for about 25mins with my note3 SM-N900 in my pocket. When i realized i rushed home and took it apart and put everything in rice overnight. The next morning i put everything together and luckily it turned on and display looked fine. I tried to swipe to unlockand no response. It will respond to the s-pen only. Everything else (ringer, mic, camera, sensors) appears to be working fine. My question is what should i try before getting a whole new display?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The times I've seen galaxy phones have the touch die in water damage, it is rarely the display's fault. Its usually board damage, in which case, theres not an easy solution like swapping out the display. I don't have a layout in front of me at the moment but I believe the touch IC is over either just above or just below the amoled connector. Previously when I've seen this, one or multiple of the components around the touch IC were damaged. Replacing those will likely fix it if that's in fact the source of the problem.
