I bought a new screen for inspiron 5520. When I turn on the laptop the dell logo appears but not with a loading logo a usual. The screen then goes blank after a couple a seconds but remains back lit. I have tried turning the laptop on with the old screen, which still partially works, and the screen does not go blank. Thanks any help would be great!

Dave, if it works with the old screen but not the new screen you may have a bad screen. May be even a wrong one. I'd check to make sure that the new screen is a proper replacement.
