lcd assembly won't turn on after replace it.

I tried to take off the lcd on my galaxy s5 cricket in order to replace the headphone jack. Trough this process I shattered the lcd because it was glued behind attached to the motherboard.

So I get a new lcd and I installed this one but before glue it to the mid frame I plug the conector and pushed power on, nothing happens its like the battery is dead then I plug the charger and on the screen show only the battery icon charging when I try to power on the screen just go off and nothing go.

I supossed that the lcd is fine then show the battery icon on it but I don't know why doesn't turn on.

Please any sugerency if im doing something wrong???
