My mac keeps switching its self on and off from apple sign

i rebooted it to factory setting cos my daughter forgot her passwords

Can you give us the last four digits for your daughters system so we can correctly identify the system.

Do you have access to a second Mac system and do you have a USB thumb drive (or external HD) which you can reformat (16GB or larger)?
