SSD interface for new iMac?

The interface is SATA. I don't know what you mean by "form factor". If you mean the physical size, it appears to be the standard 3.5" drive as show in the teardown: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2309 and 2374 Teardown

Hi thanks, by form factor I am asking what size - like 2.5", 1.8", etc - what I'm really getting at is what kind of 3rd party drive I'd need to buy in order to install in what I imagine must now be a dedicated slot inside the 27" iMac.

They are 2.5" laptop-sized SSD drives (as opposed to the smaller 1.8" MacBook Air drives).
