Most laptops including just about all Asus laptops should have a function key to disable the touchpad. Its usually combined with one of the Function keys (F1, F2, F3 and so on). The icon looks like a trackpad with the mouse buttons and a backslash or X over it. It's usually used by pressing the Function or Fn key + the corresponding F* key. I think most Asus laptops have it on the F9 key along the top of your keyboard. If it's not there then you probably have an Asus laptop model where the disable/enable touchpad/mouse button is a dedicated button but will typically have the same icon on it.

Best of luck!
