external hard drive not working!

Hi,

I have an external Western Digital Elements 500 GB and it stopped with no resson there is no fan saound o it whin I attach it to the computer even the light workes.

I strongly need the information inside it.

how I can repair it or just recover that data from it?

It seems like the drive itself may be dead. Pop the casing open and check to make sure all connectors are firmly in place. If the drive still doesn't work then take it to a professional for data recovery.

there is light when I plug it to the computer but I can't hear any noise from it and the computer does't detdct it ?
