The backlight wont work after LCD replacement

I replaced the broken LED screen with a new one. After testing it, it worked fine. Once I assembled it back together, the backlight went out. Did I ruin the LVDS cable or damage the logic board somehow?

The screen works fine using an external monitor, it's just the backlight will not light up. Now connecting it with the broken LED screen, the backlight won't light up either.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

i can't tell you if you ruined the logic board or some components - to do that, i should see the board ;-)

are you using the same cable for the old and the new display?

if not - then you have most likely broke something on the logicboard!

but none can telly you what exactly break during the reassembling - you could use a good magnifier and search the area around the display connector on the logicboard

good luck

Based on your description I would say either the cable or the backlight is bad. I would try replacing the cable first. Ralph
