iPhone 4S left over part - clear plastic ring

I have a small clear circular plastic round ring about 6mm across that I am not sure where it goes on iphone 4s ( it fell out)- would it go round the front facin camera perhaps?

Update

My query was partly because it seems to sit higher than the surrounding stuff and might put pressure onto the rear glass

old ring and new ring is too high - Duh. Stupid error.
