The power comes on, but it never boots into Windows.

I have an HP All-in-One that when turned on, starts up fine. It shows the HP logo and I can access the early bios options. System diagnostics show nothing amiss.

But, after it goes through some process (while the logo is showing), the screen goes completely dark. The power button goes into a sleep mode, and if you hit a key it comes out. But no response on screen.

The hard drive seems to be perfectly operational. The fan is operational. Power brick is fine.

On a hunch, I reseated the connection related to the monitor. Some loose connection was tripping it up, it works fine now.

The safe mode idea was a good suggestion though.

you should try booting to safe mode.. this problem seem to be a Driver error..if didn't work you may try loading your operating system again....
