Start with the battery. This is usually the cause of the problem. If that doesn't help, then you need to replace the hold switch or clickwheel.
You are going to have to look at the capacity to see what battery you need. They use different batteries.
The thin battery is in the 80/120/160GB model, which can be found here. The thick one is used in thick 160GB models. This can be found here.
