My cinema HD display won't turn on

My display won't turn on at all. There is no sign of the display receiving power and there is no blicking light at the power button. I have a working power adapter brick tested by Apple. Is this a power transformer or monitor inverter problem?

Before you do anything else hook up an external monitor. If the video there is good your power supply and logic board are ok. If that's the case your problem is likely the cable to the LCD, the inverter or the LCD itself. If you have no video on an external monitor I would suspect the logic board. Ralph

Thanks guys for responding to the question. I tried hooking up as an external monitor and there was no video. It could be an inverter or LCD but I need to buy the inverter and test it. When is the inverter located on this Cinema display. I am new to Mac but I did not see any screws on this display at all. How to open this display anyway. I cannot find a link to a repair guide.

Is this 23" Cinema hd aluminum case?

If it is, more likely to be bad VR3 3.3V REGULATOR IC putting out about 4vdc instead of 3.3v.

Very sad. But not as sad as the untimely death of Warren Zevon.
