MBA 2013: Keyboard and trackpad stopped responding; now won't turn on

So I was casually browsing the web when my trackpad and keyboard stopped responding. I restarted the macbook and it turned on to the usual login screen but my keyboard and trackpad were still not responding. So I closed my macbook to save for later. Now it won't even turn on. Is there any way I can fix this without a trip to the Apple store? Please help. Thank you.

Tried the SMC reset: LED on charger changed color for a second but macbook still wouldn't boot

Specs:

-Macbook Air 2013

-13"

-8gb ram

-i5 cpu

-not sure about graphics

-running os x (cant check what version because macbook wont boot)

- I have also been using an aftermarket charger because the original one frayed

- macbook's upper case was replaced less than a year ago because of water damage

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

open up the back case of ur computer with a #00 phillips screw driver. you will see the battery on the bottom. use a tri wing screw driver to unscrew two screw on the battery on the top corners. there is a little latch connected to the battery. u have to pry that off. once u remove the battery u will see the trackpad. u can use youtube to find well explained tutorials on how to replace the trackpad. as for the keyboard I don't know but i replaced a trackpad on my 13" macbook pro 2011 so i know more about that.
