Microphone struggling to pick up sound after water (tea) incident!

Hi!

Yesterday I was doing some work and drinking some cold tea. I have a cold, and somehow managed to sneeze and cough at the same time, resulting in spitting tea all over my computer. I turned my computer off and quickly cleaned it. Everything works fine now, apart from the microphone, which I found occasionally buzzes and struggles to pick up sound (very muffled).

Will this improve over time, as there may still be liquid that needs to dry? I blew some compressed air through the microphone from the exterior of the laptop, but would it be a good idea to open it up again and use compressed air from the inside?
