processor upgrade to PowerBook laptop Titanium

I want to know if your company can up-grade my Titanium Powerbook G4 notebook first generation before the aluminum came out.

My notebook has a processor speed of 800 MHZ CPU.

1MB L3 Cache. Memory 1 gig. and DVI

My question is can you upgrade my processor from 800 to greater?

Mike

iFixit does not do repairs or upgrades. They just sell parts. Most of the guys that man this answer section are volunteers who do not work for them either. Some of us do make our living doing repairs and others just contribute suggestions, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. There is a "users" tab at the top of the screen that you can get the profiles of those that ask and answer questions.

Hi Mike,

The only upgrade for the your Powerbook G4 Titanium 800mhz DVI is a logic board swap with the Titaniums 867mhz and 1ghz logic boards. This is a direct swap since the three units share the same form factor. Your Titanium must be the DVI model cause it would not work with the 400/667/800 VGA models.

Check ebay for the DVI logic boards:
