outgoing emails stuck in outbox

iphone 4s--all phone functions work except sending emails. SMTP issue. error message says incorrect user name or passwork. I do not know what original passwork was and this was changed. All this started when attempting to send a photo. Anyway to clear the pw and replace it or another solution. Thanks Ed
