Display assembly replacement issues

I did the instructions exactly as they were shown and i have a black screen when i turn the phone on. I have it plugged into my computer so the computer makes a sound when the phone is turned on, so i know its on, but nothing on the screen. It would repeat the same 3 vibe that it does when you plug it into power, but it keeps repeating this vibe. Switched the switch on the side from silent to normal and it just repeats the tone it makes when you plug the phone into power. Then after 10 or so times it stops. Opened the phone up and tried reconnecting the connectors and tried power cycling it and no change.

Answer this question I have this problem too

An iphone that shows no display but vibrates is telling you that something in the display circuit is damaged.

The first thing I'd try is to see if a different display works. I'd suspect probably not but you know what assuming gets you. Its uncommon but I have seen displays damage devices so I'd be careful about trying that new display on another known working device. Try putting a known working display on your project phone.

If that doesn't get it working, which I suspect will be the case, the next thing is to work under a microscope and try to find any damaged components around the lcd and digitizer connectors. The last time I ran into this it ended up being 2 ferrite beads blown that were connected to ground.
