Trying to boot up, Caps lock flashes repeatedly.

Hi, I have a Pavillion Laptop DV7, and it overheated on me a couple of nights back. Everytime I start up the computer I cant get to the bios screen, and the caps lock is flashing. How do I fix this?

Update

And btw, the caps lock is flashing once, pauses, then flashes once again and so forth.

Disconect your power cord and pull out your battery then with now power to the computer at all hold the power on button down for at least 2 minutes. This will drain the cmos battery in you computer and cause the memory to empty . Your computer should then start with no memory of an over heating issue. Have you corrected the heat issue?

Blow compressed air though the fan both ways to clean out the dirt that caused the issue and make sure you hear a fan running or the computer will not power on . Hope this helps
