This didn't wrk for me...i even replaced the pump...still not enough water pressure, water slowly drips out of steam wand, and espresso area. any other ideas?

You probably have a clog then, and since it's effecting both the brew head and the steam valve you may need to open up the boiler to clear it. I would try a good descaling first though.

Does any water come out of the machine at all? If the pump is running and there's water in the tank, water should come from the brewhead until you open the knob, at which point the water will come out of the wand instead. If no water is flowing at all you may need to force-prime the pump; that procedure is covered in several other questions here. If I've misunderstood your issue please clarify.

I have a similar problem. I primed the pump and the steamer/wand works for a few seconds then loses the prime and begins to slow down until it no longer works. I have owned the machine for 15 years and I am very familiar how it works. This issue just developed. HELP!

If you can force water through the pump but it can't draw it on it's own then the pump is probably failing. Not uncommon in a 15 year old machine.

My Breville BES870XL only has water coming out of brewhead. When i turn the knob to the wand or the hot water drip it comes out of the brewhead. Any suggestions please!! Breville has been no help, can’t get ahold of anyone and can’t find anyone to work on it. Thanks!!

Same exact problem here (860 model). It's good design/concept but cheap parts. In my case it actually caused the 3 way solenoid to burn out as it was constantly under voltage (hence why water is going into brewhead only). Cheap plastic around valves also broke due to overheating and water/steam leaked inside making a mess/corrosion! So don't run just for espresso until you address that - silly me for doing it! Anyhow, I cleaned it up and replaced burned/damaged parts. I had to improvise with some custom sourced parts as you can't find OEM or equivalent anywhere! Now I'm back to original issue - (no steam or hot water from wand when knob is turned and 3way solenoid is under voltage all the time. It's not the micro-switches on the knob, it seems that PCB has some dark areas, will try to change diodes/capacitors there, if not, will have to find some working PCB for this model.
