It won't let me charge it or won't power on

I opened my iPod when I was talking the hard drive out on the right below the battery Connect I saw it ripped off I found it in friends house he said idk if anyone knows please tell me I can replace it

Post a pic please. It may be possible to repair but will require an electronics repair technician.

Jr Sandoval this is a very old question but since I am trying to clean up some of the unanswered questions on here I figured I might as well answer it for completion sake. There are really only two things that you can do. One is, of course, to replace the logic board. Not a very expensive or difficult task. The other thing you can try, is to get a local shop to solder a new connector onto the board. It is surface mounted, so you will need to get someone with experience in doing that type of repair. The clip is available at places like this. Either one of those repairs will ensure that you get to keep your iPod functioning.
