oftentimes this is a result of a minor dent or ding in the frame where it sits. I'd have a look the whole way around it and see if anything looks even the smallest bit damaged. Thats supposed to fit in there pretty tight so it doesn't have room for anything out of place. Also make sure there isn't any dirt packed in there causing your problems.

From time to time I see them that are just tough to make go down like it should and I can kinda just feel it if I can force it and manipulate it in or if theres something wrong. Unfortunately I can't really describe that. Some of the displays just have a thicker bezel or the glue is making it just a hair wider or something. Where did you get your new display assembly? Is it an ifixit part? I've been told they are of the highest quality. I don't just say that because I'm posting on their forum. I'm not on their payroll or anything, they really do make sure and get higher quality parts than a lot of vendors do. I won't go into the hows of it but there's a big difference in the parts sold on ebay by an unknown supplier and a supplier willing to put their name (and reputation) on their product

I barely got it just now, and yeah your totally right I had to mainpulate it for a while. The struggle was just those clips at the front where the face camera is, but about 4 hours and I got it. And yeah the part is from Ifixit, thanks for the help, will really help for any future replacements.
