John Smith, I am not quite following you with this. Yes you can resolder the EMI shield, but use a soldering iron versus a hot air gun. You will have better control over the heat than you would with a hot air gun. My confusion is with the shield and the connection of the USB control IC....Any problem with that IC will not be related to the EMI shields

Thank you for the quick response. Your right but i have to remove the EMI shield to get to the USB control IC which is located near the processor.

Can you please tell how to resolder it back into place

And thank you again for responding

Depends on how you took the shields off. If you used a hot air station to remove it, you should be able to resolder it at the same solder points. If you did not and you cut it off or removed it by other means, you could try to mate some points or leave the shield of altogether.

Thanks for your help i've got my answer

John Smith, how did you get the EMI shield back on? Oldturkey will leaving the EMI shield off altogether affect how the phone works?
