As you didn't give any detail about your computer Im going to give a very generic version of a fix. Its a good idea to know in advance what you nic is this can be found in you device manager Its under device manager in Network adapters. While your here you can try double clicking your adapter then finding the driver tab and clicking that then click update driver. This could fix your problem but if it doesn't
1. find the model number of your computer and go to the homepage of your computer make for example if you have an HP laptop go to hp.com
2 Once there go to support and then find downloads and drivers when your there you will find some sort of a menu to select your model and then it usually gives a list of drivers . this is were knowing your network adapter is handy as there are often many to chose from. then download the appropriate driver and install. Hope this helps
