Why wont my screen work properally?

i dropped my phone on the ground and it didnt smash but it got a green glitch across the top of the screen and now the screen doesnt work. it turns on and all the vibration works and the lights around the screen but the screen wont turn on, also the letters for the password vibrates but i the screen is just black. sometimes the green comes back but not always. how do i fix this? why wont it work?

The LCD is broken and needs to be repaired. That green glitch was caused by damage to one of the traces going to the LCD. Essentially the screen itself was broken and when the controller (that's connected to the LCD) tried to power the screen it got damaged, thus the black screen. This is very common on the S4. Luckily, replacing the screen is quite easy. iFixIt hasan excellent guide available.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the LCD itself has been damaged, you will have to replace the entire screen to fix this. :-)

unfortunately you should replace the entire screen , it's costly but easy to change , you can find out how can you change the entire screen on youtube , there is so many tutorials , that's it ^___^
