Copper heat sheild torn, now what?

While removing the black/copper "sticker" on the back of the screen I tore through the most narrow part where it connects to the camera assembly. Will this affect my phones performance at all? I have not noticed any issues so far but would like to know what to look for in the future.

Thanks!

I thought about trying to make a little "jumper" as it occurred to me that it was in fact a ground but just did my best to make some contact with its original location. All functions of the front facing camera seem to be in order so I dont think its worth cracking the phone open again.

Thanks for the quick reply!

it acts as ground for the front flex. I've seen phones reassembled and never have any issues, I've also needed to re-establish that ground several times too.

Go through and check all of the function of that flex and be sure that its working. Check the front camera, proximity sensor, earpiece speaker etc. if they're all working just go with it as is. If it bugs you, just use some bare wire or something to run between where it was damaged and be sure it grounds. Oftentimes a replacement front flex will come with a new "sticker" if you want to go that route as well.
