Playstation Vita PCH-1000 (wifi) No sign of power, possible solution?

I didn't use my Vita for like 4 months (Which i'm sure is the case for most Vita owners), but recently I felt like playing some PSN titles but when I tried to charge it/turn it on, there were no signs of power whatsoever. No playstation button light, no screen backlight nothing. Tried a new cable, wall plug, flipped the cable in the vita port etc. so I fear it may be something internal.

Any idea what may be wrong/what I should replace? I havent been able to find out if the vita should still turn on when plugged in even without battery via googling, so it also could be some sort of port issue.

I should also add that I don't remember it ever been dropped or water spilling on it or anything, as far as I know it worked fine the last time I used it.
