TV has no sound after loosing HDMI jacks to lightning

Just like the vizio I am asking about in another question, after loosing all HDMI jacks to lightning this TV was confirmed to work with component cables but now suddenly does not have any sound. Direct TV just fixed all their problems such as some bad signals and fried boxes. The picture is even better than before but no sound. Is this a delayed lightning damage problem and is it economic and easy to fix...or just replace both TV's?
