iPhone 6 Black Screen After Replacement

Alright, so I have replaced the screen in a water damaged iPhone 6. It was working perfectly fine until up to a week later when the picture went out. Now all it does is turn on, is recognized by iTunes, and vibrates with a repetitive charging sound when plugged in. Please help, i have tried restoring it and hard resetting it. Nothing seems to work. It was fixed by an apple store and had all the water removed. Then they came to my store to get the screen replaced.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Is there a possibility of it being a loose cable?

I have double checked all cable multiple times, everything seems good

If it was a new display then it sounds like the phone might have some left over water damage, not sure though.

If you have tried a known working screen sounds like it could be the backlight. It is quite common for components associated with the backlight to short or become faulty in water damaged devices.

Can you fix this, and if so do you know a place that has a good video or manual to do it? Thank you! I know the screen works because it worked on other phones, also, the screen gets very hot at the top when connected to any phone, do you know why this happens? Thanks!

If it is the backlight I can fix it. It would be case of just replacing the faulty component. I don't really know of a video manual. The website ipadrehab.com is pretty good and has lots of things about backlight issues.

I am not sure what would cause the heating. It might be something to with the brightness if it only occurs when it is turned right up.
