new battery won't charge
MacBook Pro 15" Core Duo Model A1286
My original battery was swollen, so I bought a replacement. It worked fine for 3 months.; then suddenly stopped charging. Computer wouldn't work at all until I removed the battery. I bought another battery. It began charging, but after 2 days it stopped. The charging light blinked green. Again, the only way the computer worked was by removing the battery.
My tech suggesting getting a battery from ifixit, as you guys are reliable. I did. It began charging. Battery indicator showed it would take over 7 hours to charge. At about 15% it suddenly stopped charging, and once again, the charging light indicator flashes green. Couldn't start up computer until I removed the battery.
So the problem is clearly not the battery, but I have no idea what it is! Can you help me troubleshoot this?
Update (10/07/2015)
I just clicked on your suggested item and bought it. I'm afraid I didn't check for compatibility, and the connector is for a different laptop. Mine is early 2011, and has an installed battery.
1. Do you know if I can get it exchanged?
2. Can you suggest anything else - is there a battery connector I can buy? (I think it's a A1286)
Is this a good question?

I was advised to replace the MagSafe DC-In Board, which I did. It didn't help. Charging light blinks green, and computer won't work until I remove the battery. Can anyone suggest anything else to try?
