iPhone 5s 16GB water damage and then the screen was out

Hi guys,

my iphone had last week a water damage. After that I took it out of water, I tried to dry it with rice, unfortunately I couldn´t switch it off (because the middle of screen did not work). There were lots of vertical lines and the middle part of the screen (where we enter 2, 5, 8, 0) wasn´t working. After waiting 2 days, I wanted to open the phone, however all of a sudden the screen doesn´t work at all. I mean even the sign of low battery, which appears normally when the battery is dead. However, I opened it and tried to clean it. But it doeasnt work at all. One point is ewhen I try to charge it, it becomes really hot, I mean the batery. But the phone doesn´t react at all. Can be the battery is broken? I noticed also in the connection of the LCD to the board (third connector) there was a very small black spot (where the LCD cable connects to the board). The black spot is on the board.

What do you guys think? Can it be the LCD is broken? Or battery? Or motherboard is out!

It could be sll of the above, or some of the above.

Correct way to do it:

Remove the board from the phone;

Remove the metal shields from the phone;

Clean the board using isopropyl alcohol 90%+ and a toothbrush, preferably after processing it in a pro ultrasonic cleaning machine;

Repair all apparent damage to the components and connectors;

Connect a new/known good: battery, lightning dock, screen. Plug into a charger to start the phone. If it does start and work normally, start testing the water damaged phone components (on/off cable, battery, charging dock, front cam cable, screen) to see which is still working, of course after cleaning them as well each as is adequate.

If you can't go about all the above, take it to someone who can or at least try the IPA approach then reconnect everything from you phone (except that you will need a new battery) and test.
