Please explain E code for 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

I pressed the trip odometer for 10 seconds and the computer flashed, well it flashed a LOT of information. The speedometer and RPM dials waved continuously while it appeared to count down on the trip counter screen.

It started with

"50 f 8.2" (that is my interpretation of what I saw) then

E CoDe, then

identical numbers starting with 000000 and counting up to 000000 again.

While the trip counter was doing that the speedometer and RPM dials were pointing at groups of numbers and then pointing to a new pair of numbers. By pair of numbers I mean the speedometer would show, let's say, "21" and the RPM would point to "6". I would write that down as "216".

Why? Because I don't know any better..!

So, the speed/rpm counter sequences (while the trip was counting) were - "00,21, 63, 106, 62, 21, 00".

What do these codes mean. If they aren't codes what are they?

I do have a check engine light on, steady, and the 3.3L is running rough.
