Batteries are out of energy after about 3 days.

Hi...

About half a year ago, the fluid of the batteries in my Magic Mouse came out and into the Mouse.

Now since about 2 weeks the batteries are out of energy after less than 3 days. Do you have an idea how to fix it?

Sounds like you have some corrosion inside of the mouse from the leaking batteries.

Here's the IFIXIT Magic Mouse Teardown to help show you how to take it apart. Sadly, Apple does not offer any parts so if its to far damaged you'll need to find a junker to steal the parts from or get a new mouse.

Using some white vinegar on a Q-Tip wipe down the spillage until you remove all traces of it. Once you do that go over the same areas with distilled water (not Tap!) to clean off the vinegar as you don't want it to cause more damage. Let the mouse dry out and see if that fixed it.

My batteries are lasting about 1 hour :( I'm going to try this fix to see if it works. Does anyone know if I can substitute distilled water for isopropanol alcohol?

You want Vinegar to chemically interact with the alkaloid of the leaked battery. Then you want to use distilled water to neutralize the acid of the vinegar. Then if you think you got to much water inside you'll then want some high grade isopropyl alcohol (85% or better) to act as a dryer to help remove the water.

Just your basic chemistry :-)

The trick is to dampen not flood the parts using the cotton swabs.
