Is something loose in my headphone jack or does it need replacing?

I have to press on the front and back in the top right corner to get sound through the right ear.

I also have a click wheel issue (the play button is shorted out and only works rarely)

And my hard drive MAY be dying.

I've never taken apart electronics before, so I'm reluctant to fix issues myself.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Bill Fountaine, the hardest part on this model is to open it. Anything else is pretty straight forward. Always make sure it's a Classic and not a 5th gen Video, people often refer to that as a Classic as well. Use these guides to work on your iPod. Start by replacing the headphone jack and the clickwheel.
