Why is the screen making a noise when I close it?

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop that's roughly 5 years old, formerly in use by one of my sisters. At some point, she broke the screen somehow and had to send it in for repairs. While the screen works now, and the laptop is functional, the shop must have done a shoddy job because ever since then, the laptop makes some kind of electronic buzz whenever I close the screen (not open it for some reason). It's getting annoying and I'd like to know what I can do to fix it. So far I haven't tried anything. Any help is appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

The screen itself shouldn't be making any noise. But if there is a loose screw or magnet that is interfering with the speaker when closed, that would make more seance. But on the safe side it would probably be best to just open the lcd assembly and make sure there is nothing loose and the cable is connected correctly.

Above is a link to a guide for the dv6. just pop off the lcd bezel and lift the lcd. reseat the lcd cable and clear and debris.

If it still makes that noise when the device closes, I think there is something up with the speakers, mute the volume completely and close the lid see if the speakers are just going bad.
