New iPhone battery not working

My old battery wasn't holding a charge, so I installed a new iFixit battery.

After installation, the iPhone started rebooting every 3-5 minutes would not charge.

When the new battery was no longer rebooting, I reinstalled the old battery and it ran fine and charged back to 80% as usual.

The voltage on the new battery read 3.50v

Apart from installing the new battery, is there any power reset or retraining required?

Chosen Solution

3.5 v is too low. It should be somewhere from 3.8-4.0

Low voltage causes all kinds of reboot issues.

You need to return your defective "new" battery and ask for a replacement
