Acer Aspire E5-521 won't bootup to start menu.

My boyfriend can't get his computer to bootup to the start menu.

I'm in need of a Recovery Disk for the Acer Laptop and I guess a Recovery Disk as well for Windows 8.1..... Only thing is where completely broke and barely making by as is so money is beyond tight right now and I'm hoping someone will give me a free download site..... Please please please he's been at this for a week now I need my boyfriend back.... Lol

Hey Angel,

There are many reasons as to why a laptop won't boot up so doing a clean install of Windows or even a recovery might not fix it. Depending on what the issue is there are ways to go about resolving the boot issue. If you still want to give it a shot, you might find this Microsoft Answers Wiki useful: Download a bootable Windows 8(.1) Disc. Windows 8 or 8.1 whichever you go with should be able to download and install all Acer Drivers when you run Windows update.

*Please make sure to remove the HD and backup any important files before attempting a recovery or clean install.
