Replaced screen Classic is now all white

I replaced my iPod classic screen, and now the backlight comes on, but the screen is blank. I hooked it up to headphones, and I can hear clicking when I use the click wheel, but that's it. I synced it to my computer, and as far a my computer is concerned the iPod is fine. I tried to do several hard resets, but I only ever got the white screen. I restored my iPod twice to no effect. I tried the old screen, and now it just shows white, too.

Did I kill my iPod? Is there any way to resuscutate it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

justinkalm, make sure the the video cable is properly seated. It does have the tendency of going into the connector somewhat offset. Also, make sure that the pins of the connector are okay and that the latch properly closes. If it does not. The backlight will work (white screen) but no data.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I tried reseating the video cable several times, and there was no improvement.

I think it's more than just the screen. I can plug it into my iMac, and it will sync correctly, but when I plug it into my radio, it won't play. It ought to be able to play even without the screen working.
