laptop not turning on
my laptop is turning on but it has been saying diagnosing your pc for hours now it was working fine until I tried to turn it in last night what is the matter with it

caitlinyip, you are not telling us what laptop this is. It does sound like you are having trouble accessing the OS. So to help you further you should tell as what computer this is and what OS you are using. I would suggest that you start by checking the BIOS to see if your computer recognizes the HDD or SSD depending on your machine. Then set the BIOS to boot from USB or optical drive and use a startup disk to see if you can access the computers native drive.

It's is hp pavilion , I'm not clued up with this so I'm not sure what os is
OS is the operating system. Windows XP , Windows 7 or Windows 8 are some ...which Pavillion is it?
